Every day, we serve hot, nutritious meals to orphans, prisoners, starving families, and those surviving on the streets of Accra, Ghana. This simple act of kindness restores hope and dignity to the lives of the individuals we serve, while ensuring underprivileged families do not go to bed hungry.
In times of crisis, we respond quickly with prepackaged meals and clean water to support displaced and vulnerable communities.
Beyond meals, we provide clothing, books, and hygiene kits to schools, orphanages, and prisons in urban and rural areas.
Daily Bread Africa is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting food insecurity by serving meals to the underprivileged in Accra, Ghana, and across the continent of Africa. We believe that no one should go to bed hungry, and our mission is to provide nourishment, hope, and dignity to those in need. We launched on January 1st, 2025, serving 20 meals daily, with a short-term goal of serving at least 10,000 meals by the end of 2025. In the long term, we plan to establish a food bank in Accra and create community gardens & kitchens in different regions and countries across Africa, ensuring sustainable food support for vulnerable communities. With the help of generous donors, volunteers, and partners, we are working towards a future where everyone has access to their “daily bread.”
